Leave No Trace Poster

Strange Bird Designs created this Earth Day poster design with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. The goal was simple: bring their message into everyday life through clear, thoughtful design.

We partnered with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics in Boulder to develop this Earth Day poster design for Earth Day 2026. Their work helps people care for the outdoors through small, mindful actions. This project builds on that idea.

This Earth Day poster design extends the message beyond nature. The concept Leave No Trace Everywhere suggests that these habits belong in daily life too. It applies to shared spaces, routines, and small personal choices.

A simple detail carries the idea. The slogan includes seven “E’s.” Each one stands for one of the seven principles. We let the letters fade across the layout. This creates a quiet visual cue about reducing impact and leaving nothing behind. The typography does the work without calling attention to itself.

We made careful choices in how we produced this Earth Day poster design. Morrell Printing Solutions printed the posters locally. We chose NEENAH CONSERVATION® Papers for their lower environmental impact and strong print quality. The final piece reflects both the message and the process behind it.

This Earth Day poster design shows how we approach our work. We focus on clarity, restraint, and intent. We aim to make design that feels considered and useful. The goal is not to overstate, but to communicate something that lasts. Purchase poster here
